Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino is the oldest operating casino in Nevada and is proud of the rich history behind it. The Hotel & Casino even has its own museum; The Heritage Room. The original safe from the Great Depression that held the payroll for the dam workers is still in place. Another piece of gambling history lives on the casino floor of Railroad Pass; coin in coin out slot machines.
The Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino is a popular stop for travelers coming or going to such destinations as Las Vegas, Henderson or Boulder City, Nevada. The reasons for its popularity are many; good friends, great food and fun games go without saying. And it is full of colorful Southern Nevada History. Established in 1931 as the Railroad Pass Club it was built to provide construction workers from Hoover Dam a place to gamble and drink. Adjacent to the Hotel &Casino is an old spur for the Union Pacific Railroad which inspired much of the decor found in today’s casino and restaurants. In addition, there is a museum called the “Heritage Room” showcasing 84 years of history.
